Have you ever been knee deep in life ~ your morning routine or dinner time or on a family outing ~ and you look around and think "gosh, I sure do wish someone was here right now with a camera to take a picture of this. Of us in our chaotic life just living and laughing and screaming and crying so that we can remember this very moment forever!"

No, you've never thought that? Just me?

Let me tell you why you should start thinking like that. Inevitably there is always one parent taking all of the pictures - the ever absent parent who is there but not there because they aren't in the picture - so when you look back on your memories a very vital part will be missing - YOU!

We take these small, everyday, sometimes tedious, routine moments for granted. Because when we are living through it, we think that it will be like that forever but trust me, it won't! Life is so fluid, constantly changing, always evolving so you owe it to yourself and your children to put this time of your lives into a little time capsule which most people refer to as photographs :)

"Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever.....it remembers little things long after you have forgotten everything." ~ Aaron Siskind.

And that, quite honestly, is why I'm completely devoted to documenting all of the little things for families. We always think that we'll remember but the truth is that with so much going on every single day, the chances are that you'll have forgotten a week from now. But the pictures will always be there to remind you just how good the good old days really were :)
